The Amazon Rainforest is home to 40+ million people, more than 350 ethnic groups, and one of the greatest concentrations of biodiversity on Earth. One of the most important components of our planetary life-support system.

Although it plays a critical role in our climate, the sharp increase in deforestation have pushed the ecosystem to the brink, impacting global climate in irreversible ways.

Our history

On Amazon Day of 2021, the Canção Pra Amazônia, a call to action focusing on Brazilian audiences, authored by Nando Reis and Carlos Rennó, was launched in partnership with Greenpeace Brazil. The song and music video, which featured the participation of 31 Brazilian artists, including Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Elza Soares, Maria Bethânia, Gal Costa, Daniela Mercury, Arnaldo Antunes, and Iza, was released on Fantástico, reaching 46 million viewers, generating 64 news articles in the Brazilian media, half a million views on YouTube, and millions of impressions on social media.

In a context of growing relevance of Brazil in the defense of the environment towards COP 30, a global event that will take place in Belém do Pará, one of the main cities in the Amazon, in November 2025, the authors of the song come together again in a global initiative, bringing together artists of great international and national appeal in a global call for the Amazon, its people, and their ways of life.

A song, a music video, a call for action, featuring artists beloved by the public, with the goal of being a powerful tool for raising awareness and increasing global support for the zero deforestation agenda.

Social Impact

The song for Amazonia will be released, along a global impact campaign, in the spring/ summer of the northern hemisphere in 2025, taking advantage of music festivals that will take place in the global north, and mobilizing global audiences for COP 30, around a call for action to support the protection of the Amazon.
